Sahara Desert
Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by the mystique of the desert. The Berbers, with their nomadic lifestyle and how they have long thrived in this harsh environment always took my imagination.
So I decided to embark on an 80km trek through the Sahara with three local Berber nomads i had met during my time travelling through Morocco. Walking across varied terrain by day and camping under the stars by night. The endless dunes, shifting light, and peaceful nights created a sense of vastness and tranquility. Each day tested my endurance, but the evenings brought calm, as the Berbers shared stories around the fire. The journey deepened my connection to this breathtaking landscape.
Each day was a real test of endurance. We walked for hours under the hot sun, but the evenings brought relief in the form of a profound and peaceful calm, with the desert cooling down under a star filled sky. I found the whole experience very profound and I developed a deep sense of connection to one of the harshest yet most beautiful landscapes on Earth.
